What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider – Midwife/Nurse Practitioner position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Midwife (CM) or NYS licensed/registered as a Family/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. Master's Degree as a Midwife or Nurse Practitioner with current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice is required. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare enrollment within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:ACLS, PALS, NRP Provider (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NALS, EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), fetal monitoring NST with interpretation, and amniotic fluid index (AFI) interpretations. At least two years of clinical experience, one of which in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.
Work Days:Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm some weekend L&D rounding
