What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Director position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary:
This position will manage the Equity Research Core in it's day to day operations which includes developing annual goals and budgets, conducting outreach to potential research and industry partners, coordinating services, maintaining effective communication with institutional partners and diverse participants, and evaluating the effectiveness of services provided. Additional duties include but are not limited to: serve as a team member on and coordinate the successful implementation of other research and program projects, support the identification of new research and program projects and funding sources and prepare competitive grant proposals, monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement strategies to maintain project momentum, work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including researchers, clinicians, funders, community organizations, caregivers, and members of the public, oversee grant management activities to ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and that all deadlines, reporting requirements, and quality standards are met, collaborate effectively with internal teams such as research administration, marketing, and accounting, support the production of research reports, whitepapers, and presentations that effectively communicate project findings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experiance. Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in geriatrics, gerontology or a related field. Experience in patient centered and/or participatory research with diverse communities.

M-F daytime hours
