What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registration Front Desk Clerk position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Responsibilities include greeting patients, registration and check in for busy outpatient private practice; process co-pays; confirm compliance with UH policies regarding patient consent forms. Maintaining patient confidentiality.
Appointment scheduling. Create patient referrals and estimates within Epic work queues. Process Patient intake packet and medical records when needed. Maintain files. Sorting and distributing mail, faxes and other office duties as assigned. Work in diverse environments with people of different backgrounds. Must be a strong communicator and able to develop an effective partnership with providers, staff and all stakeholders, regardless of their cultural, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.
Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills required.
Minimum Qualifications:High school or equivalent and two years of clerical support experience, preferably in a medical setting. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
