What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Cytotechnologist 3 position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary:
The staff cytotechnologist participates in evaluation and reporting gynecologic, non gynecologic cases and fine needle aspirations. Provides on-site microscopic assessment for fine needle aspirations, performs preparation and staining specimens as needed. Performs accurate and complete documentation as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS license and registration or limited permit to practice as a Cytotechnologist required. Two years of cytotechnology experience preferred. Ability to distinguish colors required.
