What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecom Specialist position at SUNY Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary :
Responsible for the daily maintenance of the campus telephone equipment, cabling and associated applications.
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate's degree and three years of related experience to the Telecommunications industry or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus in depth knowledge of TIA / EIA 568 standards and excellent written and oral communications skills required. Must have a strong background and knowledge of the standards and design of telecommunications infrastructure, pathways, telecommunications room spacing and layout, grounding, fire-stopping and cabling. Working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office and Visio or AutoCAD computer software, and possess project cost estimation and budgeting skills also desired.

M-F 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm
