Position Levels Based on Experience: Project Manager I (PM I):
Experience: 1-3 years within a manufacturing setting.
Role: Entry-level position focused on managing smaller projects under supervision, emphasizing learning and development within the technical aspects of manufacturing with an emphasis on growth on Project Management Methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Order Initiation and Planning:
Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to thoroughly understand order scope, requirements, and timelines within the industrial manufacturing context.
Develop comprehensive project plans specifically tailored to order management, outlining tasks, milestones, and resource requirements.
Conduct risk assessments related to order execution, addressing challenges, and devising mitigation strategies for seamless delivery in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Order Execution and Tracking:
Act as the central point of contact for all order-related inquiries and escalations within the industrial manufacturing domain.
Monitor and manage order progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Implement effective communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed of order status and address any potential deviations promptly.
- Scope Change Order Management:
Proactively manage scope changes during the order execution phase within the industrial manufacturing context.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assess the impact of scope changes on timelines, resources, and overall project objectives in an industrial setting.
Document and communicate scope change orders, ensuring clarity and agreement among all involved parties in the industrial manufacturing environment.
Work closely with the finance and legal teams to address any contractual implications of scope changes in an industrial context.
- Customer Documentation and Submittals:
Manage customer-required documentation and submittals in adherence to Vendor Document Requirements (VDR).
Collaborate with clients to understand and fulfill specific documentation and submittal requirements dictated by VDR.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely preparation, accuracy, and submission of required documentation as outlined in the VDR.
- Billing Plans, Milestones, and Invoicing:
Develop and manage billing plans aligned with order milestones and deliverables in the industrial manufacturing sector.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely order-related invoicing in an industrial manufacturing setting.
Monitor and track billing milestones, addressing any discrepancies, and ensuring financial compliance specific to order management in industrial projects.
- Commercial Interaction and Relationship Management:
Act as the main liaison for channel partners addressing order-related inquiries and offering regular updates within the industrial manufacturing landscape.
Work closely with the Commercial Sales to coordinate and maintain strong relationships with both channel partner representatives and end customers in the context of order management.
Resolve issues promptly and manage customer expectations effectively.
Travel on an as required basis with the outside sales team and to customer sites for project kickoffs and status updates (~10% of time)
- Quote Evaluation in Collaboration with Application Engineering and Commercial Teams:
Work closely with Application Engineering and Commercial teams during the quote evaluation stage, specifically tailored to industrial projects.
Collaborate on assessing technical feasibility, pricing considerations, and overall viability before scope is negotiated and set.
Ensure effective communication between all teams to streamline the transition from quote to order, addressing any potential challenges proactively within an industrial manufacturing framework.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, with a particular emphasis on order-related processes within the industrial manufacturing environment.
Generate regular reports on order status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and key performance indicators related to order management in industrial projects. Present project status updates at both peer and senior level teams.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
