Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at our hotel. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including handling reservations and payments.
- Answer phone calls promptly, utilizing phone etiquette to assist guests with inquiries or requests.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance guest experience.
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism, striving for resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions in the hotel property management system (PMS).
- Assist with night audit duties as required, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced at the end of each day.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.
- Handle Cash and Card Payments
- Promote Wyndham Rewards program, including signing up unenrolled guests during check-in
- Restock front desk and lobby supplies and maintain inventory
- Sell dry goods and maintain purchase log
- Clean and disinfect front desk and common areas
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
Skills
- Proven experience in front desk operations within a hotel or resort setting is preferred, including experience/knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) such as SynXis, Opera Cloud, etc.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with phone systems and basic computer software is advantageous.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed in the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work, problem-solve, and adapt with different situations, primarily independently.
- Time Management Skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
