Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at our hotel. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including handling reservations and payments.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, utilizing phone etiquette to assist guests with inquiries or requests.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism, striving for resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions in the hotel property management system (PMS).
  • Assist with night audit duties as required, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced at the end of each day.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.
  • Handle Cash and Card Payments
  • Promote Wyndham Rewards program, including signing up unenrolled guests during check-in
  • Restock front desk and lobby supplies and maintain inventory
  • Sell dry goods and maintain purchase log
  • Clean and disinfect front desk and common areas
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor

Skills

  • Proven experience in front desk operations within a hotel or resort setting is preferred, including experience/knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) such as SynXis, Opera Cloud, etc.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and basic computer software is advantageous.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work, problem-solve, and adapt with different situations, primarily independently.
  • Time Management Skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
