Front Desk Agents serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. Front Desk Agents are responsible for enhancing and creating a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities
- Be yourself and genuinely care about each interaction you have with guests, visitors and co-workers.
- Understand and embody the Count on Us, Count on Me service culture.
- Be able to speak to Wyndham Rewards and enroll guests in the program.
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks and understand the steps to achieve both.
- Be able to understand, handle, adjust billing for guests on property.
- Follow all outline policies, procedures, and checklists set by property.
- Adhere to property uniform and appearance policy.
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Understand Online Travel Agencies expectations and policies to ensure correct handling.
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner. Communicate with Manager(s) as needed.
- Ensure booking systems are correct and up to date. All notes and details are thoroughly communicated.
- Understand and help manage group bookings, if needed and assigned.
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Ensuring rooms are inspected and meet standards prior to arrival and according to property standards.
- Assist with preparing, stocking and breaking down the morning breakfast.
- Clean Lobby and entrance hallways as needed and assigned.
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
- Provide excellent guest experience
- Assign room keys to guests and troubleshoot any issues with keys.
- Closing out banks and basic cash counting.
Skills
- Work experience as a Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
- Experience with hotel reservations software, skilled in Microsoft, and Google applications and programs.
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
- Customer service “can do” attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Proven working experience in relevant field
- Ability to work independently and remain motivated
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Helpful with customer service orientation
- Time management skills
- Professionalism along with speed

- Requires working in dusty and dirty areas.
