We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Clerk at our Super 8 in Ashburn, GA. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay.
Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner
Performs all Front Desk related functions including but not limited to checking guests in / out, promoting company programs, maintaining guest records, cash handling, etc.
May also assist with set up of Breakfast or Evening Beverage which may include food preparation, set up, service and / or cleaning after service. May be asked to perform duties of a Hot Breakfast Host / Hostess when needed. Maintains a high standard of integrity, service and hospitality at all times to promote the Super 8 by Wyndham culture with customers and co-workers.
***Preferably can be able to work the night shift from 10pm-6am***
Reservations:
Receive and confirm reservations via phone, online, and in person.
Manage room assignments based on guest preferences and special requests.
Maintain an accurate record of room availability and occupancy.
Payment Processing:
Process guest payments accurately and in accordance with motel policies.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
Provide receipts and explain charges to guests.
Communication:
Effectively communicate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to fulfill guest requests.
Relay messages and information to guests and other motel personnel.
Customer Assistance:
Address and resolve guest concerns, complaints, and issues promptly.
Provide information on motel amenities, policies, and services.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of guest information and transactions.
Complete daily reports and logs as required.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls and messages.
Safety and Security:
Follow established safety and security procedures.
Verify guest identities and maintain confidentiality of guest information.
Report any safety or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
Familiarity with basic computer systems and reservation software.
Requires thorough knowledge of Wyndham Hotels policies and procedures, for guest services.
Must be willing to and have the ability to work alone as scheduled. At some locations, may be the only team member on property during work shift.
Mental and Physical Requirements
AGE: Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in working with the public in a service industry or in related activities is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during entire working period of 8 hours; requires ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds.
Working Relationships:
Reports to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Front Office Manager.
Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
Working Conditions:
This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure 24/7 front desk coverage.
