Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and manage work orders.
• Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Execute residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic quality.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Lead small teams on specific projects or during peak maintenance periods, fostering collaboration among team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
• Familiarity with CMMS software is an advantage.
• Experience in residential painting is a plus.
• Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Leadership skills to guide teams during maintenance projects or initiatives.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• A strong commitment to safety practices in all maintenance activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
