Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service to our guests and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The ideal candidate will have hotel experience, a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires 2 overnight shifts per week from 11pm to 7am.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival and provide a warm and friendly check-in experience.
- Manage reservations, including checking guests in and out, processing payments, and updating guest information.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to assist guests effectively.
- Operate phone systems to manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready for occupancy.
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Experience
- Previous experience as a hotel front desk agent, business receptionist or administrative assistant is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Familiarity with hospitality software or property management systems is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and proficiency in handling phone and computer systems effectively.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
