Job Summary
Employees who manage the entire Production floor are responsible for accepting/rejecting Work Orders and ensuring that the accepted Work Orders are completed in the safest, most efficient and faultless way possible. They complete reports and have meetings that demonstrate the work status and issues that have come up on the Production floor. They make sure that each department has checked that the merchandise is without blemish before moving to the next stage of Production. They coordinate the scheduling of the Work Orders with the department leads at the Production meeting.

Job Summary

Job Duties
- Coordinate the request the purchase of necessary materials for the Production staff with the Stock Room and Purchasing Department
- Manage the operation of the entire Production floor
- Maintain Production quality
- Daily checkups of every department looking for safety, effectiveness and any other problems department leads may have
- Sign off on job approval of rejected merchandise, when applicable
- Make sure that each department is ensuring the standards and quality that are expected at Super Color Digital
- Stage jobs, beginning in Preflight, in Production using the computer system
- Attend Production meeting, be ready to contribute advice and status of current Work Orders as well as open Work Orders
- Create spreadsheets and documents that describe status of Work Orders and procedures used on the machines
- Oversee and facilitate all production departments including purchasing, stockroom, shipping, receiving and drivers
- Adhere to scheduled timelines for all scheduled shipments
- Create Daily Production Reports which are given to VP of Operations
- Maintain lockdown protocols for secured graphic projects
- Manage unacceptable employee performance through the use of Disciplinary Action Notices, counseling and regular performance evaluations
- Host daily operation and status meetings with multiple departments
- Oversee all daily requirements and scheduling for next shift
- Train personnel on work flow with the ability to lead, coach and inspire a teams to excel and meet deadlines
- Communicate frequently with VP of Operations and implement decisions through department leads
- Check that all information regarding Work Order is correct before accepting job, make sure that employees perform duties perfectly and check that all information is correct regarding Work Order/merchandise before allowing a job to be shipped out from Super Color Digital

- Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
- Ability to resolve problems, document all issues and put best practices in place to prevent future problems
- Firm grasp of computer/printing terminology
- Bachelor of Arts in Business/Production Management/Print Management preferred
- 5 years in the graphics industry
- Minimum 5 years experience in production management
- T.Q.M or Six Sigma Training Technical degree or equivalent experience required
- Must be a visionary who is always looking for new and innovative processes
- Must be available by company cellphone during off hours
- Ability to stand throughout shift and lift 50 pounds, without straining
- OSHA forklift certified
