Super Excavators, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Construction Safety Manager. The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and safety-related laws. Experience working with excavations, tunnels and shafts is preferred. The Safety Manager should have experience in the following: workers compensation and accident investigation, Haz-com, confined space, first aid, CPR, MSHA, fall protection, PPE, relevant DOT regulations and equipment safety.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements

• A degree in Occupational Safety/Health field and/or 2-3 years managerial level safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and basic principles of safety/risk management and training.
• Exposure to various construction environments and ability to occasionally climb stairs and ladders, bend, grasp, reach, crouch, walk on uneven surfaces, work in extreme temperature environments, and wear any necessary personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, respirators, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
• Excellent oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and present information at training sessions.
• Written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with Foreman, Project Managers, Supervisors, other Safety Managers, etc.
• Ability to work independently on muliple projects with high level of self motivation and organization.
• Ability to effectively organize, plan, coordinate, communicate and implement safety programs, training, policies and procedures.
• Ability to function well under pressure, including during critical incident events involving employees.
• Willingness to travel between job sites throughout Continental US, up to 50%. Travel will be from our corporate office in Menomonee Falls, WI. Majority of projects are in greater Milwaukee area.
• Company vehicle, laptop, phone, per diem will be provied.
• Valid drivers license with demonstrated safe driving record is required.

This is a salaried position with working hours between 40-60 per week.
