Responsibilities:
- Prep Work:
- Prepare ingredients for salads, charcuterie, desserts, and other cold items, ensuring proper portioning and quality.
- Cold Plate Production:
- Assemble and present cold dishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Adjust dressings and sauces as necessary to ensure taste and quality.
- Light Hot Line Support:
- Occasionally assist with cooking or prep tasks using the oven, stove, or fryer as needed.
- Station Setup & Breakdown:
- Organize and set up the cold station for service.
- Break down and thoroughly clean the station at the end of the shift, maintaining hygiene standards.
- Cleaning Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cold station throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a Garde Manger or similar cold station role (preferred).
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and plating aesthetics.
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Food Handler’s Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
