Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to support classroom activities and assist teachers in providing a nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for fostering learning and development in young students.
This position is 16-29 hours per week depending on the availability of the applicant. Availability from 12:00-6:00 P.M. 2-5 days per week is required
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing afternoon lesson plans and activities.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among students.
- Support early childhood education initiatives by engaging children in play-based learning.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor activities, and transitions to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management techniques preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development.
- Experience in curriculum development is a plus but not required.
