Job Summary
As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a fun, educational, and safe environment for toddlers (ages 1-3). You will assist with daily classroom activities, help supervise and engage with children, and provide support in their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that foster learning and creativity.
- Support toddlers in their social and emotional development by encouraging positive behaviors and interactions.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap time, and outdoor activities.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about the child's progress and any concerns.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and supplies.
- Provide individualized attention to children as needed.
- Follow all safety and health guidelines and maintain a safe environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly toddlers, in a daycare or educational setting is a plus.
- A genuine love for working with children and a passion for their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
