Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Production Supervisor (Weld) to oversee our assigned welders in the production department. This role is critical in ensuring that production goals are met efficiently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and manage a team of welders, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Scheduling: Assign jobs to welders based on their qualifications and skill levels, ensuring that personnel are optimally matched to tasks.
- Time Off Management: Oversee and manage Paid Time Off (PTO) requests to maintain workforce efficiency and meet operational goals.
- Production Decision-Making: Analyze production reports to make informed decisions that drive productivity and improve processes.
- Employee Management: Address behavioral issues with employees, offering coaching and support as needed to ensure a respectful workplace.
- Career Development: Assist in career path development for team members, providing insights and recommendations for growth opportunities.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance evaluations of welders, offering constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.
- Efficiency Maximization: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance production efficiency and streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in welding.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze production data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficient in scheduling and workforce management.
- Knowledge of employee performance management and development practices.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
