What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Calibration Technician position at Super Systems Inc?

The successful candidate for the Calibration Technician position must be a good problem solver and a self-starter with strong communications skills. They should have mechanical and electrical aptitude, be comfortable with hand tools, and have an understanding of electronics and calibration concepts. Product-specific training provided.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associates degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience
- Ability to hand assemble intricate and sometimes fragile parts
- Experience with sourcing, measuring, and calibrating with digital volt meters
- Ability to solder and de-solder components neatly and efficiently
- Identify and troubleshoot basic electronic components
- Demonstrate basic electronic math principles
- Read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings
- Troubleshoot board level electrical problems down to the component level
- Basic computer skills / competency with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel)
- Good communications skills with co-workers and customers
- Proficiency with basic hand tools in a potentially repetitive environment
- Experience with process controllers and thermocouple inputs a plus
- Dependable and reliable attendance
- Experience with microcontroller a plus
- Experience with Microchip PIC a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Autonomous / Independent
- Valid Driver’s License
Job Responsibilities -acquired skills after training:
- Build sub-assemblies for finished products
- Consolidate sub-assemblies into completed products
- Perform final testing and certification of products
- Perform service on returned items as needed
- Inspect raw materials for compliance to specifications
- Build, test, and calibrate small electrical devices per drawings and work instructions
- Perform mechanical assembly of devices and wiring harnesses
- Provide customer support by phone and/or email where applicable
- Perform duties within an ISO9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 calibration environment
Other Characteristics :
- Military service a plus
- Soldering experience desired but not required
- College diploma not a requirement
- Experience and work ethic is more important than formal education
Schedule:
- First shift, 8 hours/day, M-F
- Flexibility opportunities available
