Job Description:
- Specialty: Laboratory Assistant
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Start date: 02/26/2025
- Shift Notes: days, 8 or 10 shift: 40 hours guaranteed
- Shift times: 0430-1730
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes samples of blood, tissue and body fluids to determine chemical content, cell count, drug levels or blood type; may also search for specific microorganisms like bacteria or parasites.
- Provides information for patient diagnosis and treatment by performing laboratory tests.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Phlebotomy experience - Required
- Microbiology laboratory experience preferred.
- Previous experience with culture reading and gram stains
- Floating to over units/departments - Working within the Phlebotomy Lab
- Prior travel experience - Preferred
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- MLT
- BLS (AHA)
