What are the responsibilities and job description for the Go Kart Technician / Maintenance position at Supercharged Indoor Karting & Trampolines?
Supercharged Indoor Karting is looking to hire a full time Go Kart Technician.
All mechanics at Supercharged will need to focus on providing customers with the most safe, reliable, and enjoyable karts/track to race with/on. This department is tasked with maintaining a fleet of 50 go karts and 2 tracks in an efficient and thorough fashion. Mechanics must complete emergency, general, and preventative maintenance for the karts. Other tasks/maintenance of the facility may also be necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of mechanical repair experience, preferably with go karts, golf karts, motorcycle, or motor-sports field. Experience with electric motors and ASE certifications are preferred.
You must be self-motivated, organized and able to handle multiple priorities. Extreme attention to detail is a must. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform opening track and kart repairs and performance checks,
- Maintain kart performance throughout each shift,
- Maintain track and facility appearance and functionality,
- Keep accurate documentation of repairs, parts inventory, and special projects,
- Responsibly maintain supply of tools and machinery,
- Respond to emergency situations as they arise,
- Ensure that the pit, service shop, and track areas remain clean and safe,
- Assist the track crew with track operations in limited situations,
- Perform specific facility cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management including those not limited to track and go-kart operations,
- Perform closing duties to secure the pit and track and prepare for the following day’s operation,
- Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary,
- Supervise snow removal process and grounds keeping ensuring all codes are met and safety remains a top priority,
- Maintain obstacle course equipment to ensure optimal performance standards,
- Ensure the satisfaction of all guests by implementing and maintaining proper policy procedures,
- Supporting all team members, ownership, and leadership in any way possible,
- Representing the company in all times and all places.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
