Who You Are :
Supergoop! is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Accountant to support the daily operations of maintaining complete and accurate financial records. This position offers excellent exposure to a range of work areas, including general ledger transactions, month end close, accounting operations, and cross functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and has a proactive attitude and strong work ethic. This is a full-time position that is on a hybrid office model based in New York, and reports to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities :
- General Ledger : Assist in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, including ownership over Cash, Prepaid Expenses, and Fixed Asset accounts
- Operating Expenses : Process and record Operating Expense transactions, including Payroll Expenses, Travel & Entertainment Expenses, and Depreciation and Amortization Expense
- Accounts Payable and Receivable : Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely recording of transactions
- Month-End Close : Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting in monthly variance analysis resolution
- Audit Support : Provide documentation and support for external audits
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data processing
Qualifications / Experience :
Salary Range : $80,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience
