Fire Sprinkler Field Positions

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced field employees to join our team at Central Fire Protection (Birmingham, AL). As a Fire Sprinkler Field Employee, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, or maintaining fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings. Your main goal will be to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and in compliance with local and national fire codes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler and alarm system installation and maintenance
• Knowledge of local and national fire codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Experience working with commercial and residential clients
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, or maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with fire sprinkler systems
• Ensure that all systems are functioning properly and in compliance with local and national fire codes
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used

Skills:

As a Fire Sprinkler Field Technician, you will utilize knowledge of fire codes and blueprints to install, inspect, and maintain fire sprinkler and alarm systems. You will also use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in working with clients and team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Additionally, you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and in compliance with local and national fire codes.
