Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Alarm.com Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and demonstrate proficiency in technical areas such as security systems, smart home technology, low voltage applications, and Alarm.com platforms. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Alarm.com systems and related devices to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, program, maintain, and repair Alarm.com systems, including security panels such as DSC Qolsys IQ4 and PowerG sensors.
- Configure and troubleshoot Alarm.com cameras, including indoor, outdoor, and doorbell cameras, ensuring video functionality and integration with the Alarm.com platform.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot Z-Wave devices, including smart locks, thermostats, light switches, and garage door controllers.
- Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide professional recommendations.
- Set up and test Alarm.com mobile app features, ensuring proper functionality and training customers on usage.
- Troubleshoot communication issues between devices, network systems, and the Alarm.com platform.
- Provide technical support for customers, resolving issues related to system performance or integration.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of projects and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on the latest Alarm.com products, software updates, and best practices.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Alarm.com systems and products.
- Proficient in installing and programming DSC Qolsys IQ4 panels and PowerG sensors.
- Strong knowledge of Z-Wave technology and Alarm.com-compatible devices.
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Alarm.com cameras and video analytics.
- Familiarity with IP networking, including setting up and managing Wi-Fi and wired connections for security systems.
- Knowledge of smart home integration, including locks, thermostats, and lighting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
