About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Crop Management Assistant to join our team at Superior Ag Resources Cooperative Inc. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in crop management and develop valuable skills in customer relationship building and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with crop consultants, salespersons, and location managers to implement crop management programs and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Monitor and analyze customer crop conditions, identifying areas for improvement and recommending effective solutions.
- Communicate complex crop diagnoses and recommendations to customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Conduct thorough inspections of customer fields and crops to inform pesticide and fungicide application decisions.
- Apply GPS tracking systems and computer software to optimize field management and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the development of seed sales and marketing programs, including creation of demonstration plots and customer informational meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to complaints and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain comprehensive agronomy programs.
- Assist with record keeping and office support tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in recommended crops diagnostic workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Complete a project established between the intern and their supervisor, presenting the completed project to the management team at the end of the internship period.
Qualifications
To succeed as a Crop Management Assistant, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Be a full-time registered student majoring in an agricultural discipline.
- Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Hold a valid driver's license and meet work eligibility requirements of the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
- Pass favorable background checks and demonstrate ability to perform essential functions and duties outlined in the job description.
