Job Summary :
The Inventory Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring efficient inventory control, and supporting the supply chain process. They work closely with warehouse teams, procurement departments, and suppliers to monitor stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and optimize inventory systems.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate inventory records in inventory management systems.
- Perform regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Monitor and track incoming and outgoing inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Input inventory data, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and damages into the system.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports(e.g., stock levels, reorder points, turnover rates)
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for management.
- Maintain records of supplier deliveries, purchase orders and returns.
- Assist in purchasing and replenishment planning based on demand forecasts.
- Ensure timely receipt and documentation of incoming shipments.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to resolve order discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate stock allocation and storage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and safety standards.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for inventory management efficiency.
- Assist in training staff on inventory control procedures and system usage.
- Implement and maintain best practices for inventory accuracy and control.
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, finance, and procurement teams to align inventory goals.
- Support cross-departmental teams by providing inventory insights and stock availability updates.
- Address internal and external inventory related inquiries from stakeholders.
- Complete all other responsibilities and assignments as required to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of this position.
