What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Estimating and Production Manager position at Superior Built Roofing?
Superior Built Roofing is a family owned and operated company with operations in five states and two offices in Florida serving three major metropolitan areas. We have grown organically due to our commitment to always doing the right thing for our customers.
We are seeking a combination of two roles for this full-time position. One is an internal estimator for residential and commercial quotes. The other is a production manager who is responsible for scheduling, customer communication, working with crews, ordering materials, and coordinating with our material runner, office manager, and field employees to ensure the smooth production of all jobs.

This position will have the following responsibilities:
- All internal quoting to include residential and commercial new construction and reroofs.
- Quoting of exterior services such as siding, gutters, soffit, aluminum, and
- Safety - Review our company safety manual with all subcontractors while providing training and maintaining necessary certifications with company employees. Enforce all company and OSHA regulations on job sites.
- Project Oversight - Manage daily production schedules and monitor project progress to proactively resolve any issues.
- Permitting and Inspections - Work with the office manager to ensure timely pulling of permits and completion of inspections after job completion. Work with subcontractors and technicians to obtain all necessary inspection photos and oversee the office manager to ensure inspections are being completed and closed out.
- Customer Service - Maintain an open line of communication with customers. Notify customers immediately of changes in scope of work or changes to the production schedule. Provide clients with passed inspections, photos, documentation, and ensure final invoices are ready to be collected (Office Manager responsibility).
- Team Leadership - Supervise and coordinate roofing crews, service technicians, and subcontractors. Train and mentor team members, conduct regular meetings and encourage open lines of communication.
- Quality Control - Either personally, through photos, or with the material runner inspect all jobs to ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and quality expectations. Address and resolve any customer concerns.
- Logistics and Resource Management - Perform active inventory management, coordinate with suppliers for material delivery and best available pricing, and plan and allocate resources to ensure smooth project completion.
- Administrative Tasks - Provide reports on project status, job costing, and performance. Collaborate with sales teams to ensure proper estimating and job bidding. Ensure accurate documentation of completed projects.
