Business Development Representative – Entry Level
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. This entry-level position is perfect for a self-starter who is eager to build relationships, generate leads, and drive business growth in the network cabling, AV, and security systems market. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a results-driven mindset, and a willingness to learn about our industry and services.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential customers in target markets (commercial businesses, office spaces, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, etc.).
- Conduct outreach via cold calling, email campaigns, and networking to generate new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Understand client needs and effectively communicate how our solutions can meet their business goals.
- Follow up on leads to nurture long-term sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the sales and project management teams to develop tailored proposals for clients.
- Support the sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
- Keep accurate records of all interactions in CRM software.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and new technologies in network cabling, AV, and security solutions.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance sales and technical knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for sales and business development.
- Ability to learn technical products and services and articulate their value to customers.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is a plus but not required.
- Prior sales, customer service, or business development experience is a plus but not required
