Job Description
A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project. Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects.
Depending on your personal goals, Superior Construction will provide you the ability to learn additional skills and advancement, through on-the-job training and external education outlets.
Essential Functions
- Work with a crew to install concrete and steel piling
- Perform welding
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects.
- Keep work area and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials.
- Assembling pile driving leads, connecting hoses, rigging material, and equipment.
- Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent, and coworkers
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and the environment.

Work Environment
This is field field-based role. Employees will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Physical Demands
The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation.
- Previous experience working with pile driving operations required.
