Job Description
We’re looking for experienced Pipe Layers to join our team at Superior Construction!
Assists in the installation of various types of storm drain pipes. The pipe layer will work safely in the field and utilize knowledge of materials, methods, and tools to work efficiently.
Essential Functions

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This is field field-based role. Employees will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. All projects are outdoors, in all weather and temperature extremes.
The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Physical Demands
The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work. Average /-50 hours per week.
Travel
The role requires no travel.

We’re looking for experienced Pipe Layers to join our team at Superior Construction!
Assists in the installation of various types of storm drain pipes. The pipe layer will work safely in the field and utilize knowledge of materials, methods, and tools to work efficiently.

- Work with a crew to install storm drain pipe
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools.
- Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Foster and maintain a safe work environment
- Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
- Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.

- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
- Must be able to install storm drain pipes in all sizes. Must be able to work in all types of conditions
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
