Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist, support, and collaborate on the management and execution of a project safely and profitably.
The candidate will work with their assigned project manager to help achieve their respective project management objectives.
Essential Functions

Work Environment
Additionally, a pressurized environment is the norm.
Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to navigate rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water.
The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. This position sometimes requires long hours, holidays, and weekend work.
Travel
The role will require up to 10% of travel.

- Develop and implement project execution strategies
- Maintain and communicate various project performance metrics and analytics
- Provide leadership and support to functional area managers
- Support forecasting and reporting
- Act as a liaison between the superintendent and the subcontractors in coordinating the delivery date of materials by analyzing the schedule and the required installation dates.
- Construction engineering
- Work with subcontractors and vendors
- Foster and maintain favorable relationships with project stake holders
- Market and promote the Superior Construction brand
- Assist with the leadership and development of team members
- Foster and maintain a safe work environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Required Education And Experience
- BS Construction, Engineering, or other relevant fields of study
- Entry level to four years of industry tenure
- Field-based project execution experience
- Field-based leadership roles
- Knowledge of route surveying and scheduling
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Safety Trained Supervisor Construction Certification
- Viewpoint experience a plus
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
