Superior Contracting Services is a full-service open shop specialty service contractor providing General Labor, Demolition, and Construction Cleaning Services to the commercial construction industry through New England.
We are looking for a reliable Foreman certified in Mold Remediation. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing other SCS crew members at jobsites to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. This is a working role, so you will also be expected to work alongside your team.
Location: Various Job sites located in MA, NH, RI and NY
Starting rate: Competitive Pay (pay is based on experience)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
- Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
- Oversee mold remediation efforts, including:
- Assessing areas affected by mold and planning the remediation process.
- Ensuring proper containment of mold-affected areas to prevent cross-contamination.
- Supervising the safe removal of mold-infested materials.
- Ensuring adherence to environmental and safety regulations related to mold removal.
- Inspecting completed work to confirm proper remediation techniques were followed.
- Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment.
- Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
- Regularly report project status to supervisors, client superintendents and other management.
- Interact with client superintendents to ensure daily tasks are completed to their satisfaction.
- Communicate between Superior Field Operations Management team and Clients is a must.
- Track, prioritize, and delegate tasks to laborers on your team.
- Complete work orders and track time for your crew daily while submitting to SCS office in a timely manner.
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
- May operate hand and power tools of all types.
- May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.
- May assist other craft workers.
Qualifications:
- The ability to fluently read, write and speak English.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under equipment and machinery.
- Must be able to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Must be able to lift heavy weighted materials/equipment (50 – 70 lbs.).
- Must be able to work in adverse or extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear and work in personnel protective equipment.
- Must have a vehicle or reliable means of transportation to and from jobsite.
- Must have high regard for safety in the workplace.
- Good attitude: must work well with others and take direction.
- Must be responsible and punctual.
