JURY COORDINATOR

ABOUT THE POSITIONDuties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Plans and conducts jury orientations, including speaking to large groups of prospective jurors; coordinates jury impanelment; obtains personal data; answers questions in-person and over the phone from jurors, the public and court personnel regarding jury services policies, relevant statues, and procedures.
- Monitors status of jury trials to ensure panels are properly supplied; assists courtroom clerks during jury selection process; assists with requests for ADA accommodations by jurors; validates juror attendance at completion; prepares claims for juror fees and reimbursement checks; confers with bench officers and Court personnel regarding jury needs.
- Prepares payroll information related to mandated juror fees; retrieves juror attendance information from Superior Court Clerks, inputs data into appropriate software system; runs statistical reports related to juror attendance and fees.
- Obtains and updates list of prospective jurors; prepares and mails summons for jury service; responds to requests of prospective jurors to be excused or disqualified from jury service; processes jurors who fail to appear for jury service; prepares juror orders to show cause; reviews documents for completeness and rejects incomplete documents.
- Accesses computerized case management systems and databases to retrieve information; updates records in the jury management system; generates reports, documents, and activity printouts.

JURY COORDINATOR
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of full-time (or equivalent) clerical experience that included providing customer service in person or via the telephone. Experience in a public agency or legal environment is preferred.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
- At least one (1) year of public speaking experience.
- Experience answering incoming calls from customers.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a call center environment, preferably with a public agency.

SELECTION PROCESS

- STEP 2: Candidates' supplemental questionnaire responses may be evaluated and ranked. Depending on the number of applications, additional assessments and/or screening interviews may be conducted.
- STEP 3: Candidates who are successful in step 2 will be placed on the eligible list and may be considered for interview. Placement on the eligible list does not guarantee an interview or employment.
