Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installer and Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical abilities and experience in both commercial and residential garage door installation and repair. Experience preferred but not required. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing garage doors, openers, and related hardware. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service while ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation:
• Install garage doors, openers, and related components for both residential and commercial properties.
• Ensure proper alignment, operation, and safety features of installed doors.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the requirements and specifications for installation.
• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform regular maintenance checks on existing garage doors and openers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including broken springs, cables, rollers, and motors.
• Troubleshoot electronic issues related to openers and keypads.
• Customer Service:
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Explain maintenance and repair processes to customers, offering recommendations for future care.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing the company.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during installations and repairs.
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and local building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Complete service reports and job documentation accurately and promptly.
• Keep track of inventory and order necessary parts as needed.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the management team.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Proven experience as a garage door installer or service technician is preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED.
• Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in garage door systems and related hardware.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors and openers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Certifications:
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
