Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our construction warehouse. This role is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that all materials and equipment are available to support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for efficiency, and experience in warehouse management within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and minimize material loss or damage.
- Ensure efficient warehouse organization and optimize space utilization.
- Coordinate deliveries to and from job sites, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
- Utilizes tool watch software to track equipment, tools and other materials.
- Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow.
- Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software to track inventory and logistics.
- Plans for just-in-time delivery of materials, tools and other equipment.
- Works closely with the Pre-fabrication department to determine materials needed and assuring they are delivered to the job site timely.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics.
- Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
Work Environment:
- This role requires frequent movement around the warehouse and construction job sites.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
