Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide service provider specializing in retail skilled trade services. As a Service Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical repairs, upgrades, and solutions in various retail settings. The ideal candidate will have experience as a journeyman commercial electrician, with expertise in retail electrical repairs, and the ability to work independently to complete service calls. Work schedules options are Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. The position provides a two-week training period and a three-month probationary phase. Technicians will be provided with a company vehicle, gas card and have the flexibility to begin their service routes from home or the regional shop location.
Responsibilities
- Journeyman Electrician experience consisting of repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of various commercial electrical components
- Skilled at terminating and pulling wires into control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches and/or raceways
- Proficient troubleshooting, testing, and repairing emergency generators, automatic transfer switches and/or power distribution systems
- Knowledge and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul Systems or HVAC motor control wiring is desired
- Independently work-off blueprints, sketches, or schematic drawings
- Provide informative customer service regarding the nature of the electrical repair
- Operate company vehicles in accordance with department policies
- Proficient with the use of cell phone communication, GPS and electronic documentation technology
- Submit service paperwork and reports as required by the department policies
- Available to work Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday to Thursday as part of your regular work schedule
- Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department
- Five or more years of commercial electrical experience in commercial electrical service or construction roles
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
- Proficient English communication skills required to write reports and emails
- Must be able to work according to safety guidelines, CALOSHA, and workplace policies
