Description
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least four year of diesel experience with a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and practice safety guidelines. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may be scheduled for shifts outside the regular work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brake replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems on vehicles and equipment
- Inspect and test engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers and internal departments regarding repair status and job requirements
- Experience with gasoline motors is strongly desired
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
- Additional duties may be assigned to support the operations of the department
