As an Administrative Assistant, you will process a high volume of data entry for the plumbing purchasing department. The ideal administrative assistant will have a background in general commercial construction or plumbing knowledge. This position is responsible for entering data accurately and efficiently into our database while supporting the wholesale purchasing team with various clerical functions within the department. The work schedule is Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter data into the databases
- Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness
- Report disputes on approved invoices
- Create department related purchase orders
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding updates on materials
- Assist with inventory management as needed
- Maintain purchasing records and files
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned to support the operations of the department
