What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Heavy Equipment Transportation Driver position at Superior Electrical Mechanical?
The Commercial Heavy Equipment Transportation Driver is a Class A position that is responsible for operating commercial vehicles and heavy-duty trucks to tow trailers, transport materials, equipment, and construction supplies throughout Southern California. During non-drive time or standby hours, the Class A driver will provide warehouse and/or yard duties to support the warehouse operations team. Shift hours are Sunday to Thursday 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Overtime is available but is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operates flatbed vehicles, heavy duty trucks, box trucks and/or service body vehicles
- Hook up and tow trailers as needed using a heavy-duty vehicle
- Load and unload cargo with proper tie-down protocols
- Track and document activity drive logs
- Communicate delivery expectations and updates with dispatch and management
- Complete pre and post check vehicle inspections
- Performs warehouse and yard duties when not hauling freight
- Additional duties assigned in the warehouse or yard as needed
- Class A commercial driver's license accepted by the FMCSA
- Minimum of two years commercial driving experience within a construction environment
- Ability to perform physical work, lifting or pulling up to 75lb continuously during the work shift
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Valid D.O.T medical form

Salary : $26 - $32
