We are seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Service Manager to join our team. As a Generator Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a group of technicians performing various levels of maintenance and repair on commercial standby generators ensuring the units are operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge about generator motors, generator service schedules and a commercial electrical background while being able to provide documentation on the service work performed.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and coordinates maintenance schedules for commercial generators
- Monitors work orders, call backs, trip returns and collaborates the workflow with dispatch
- Reviews technician paperwork regarding the maintenance and repair of commercial generators
- Ensures generator mechanics are performing preventative maintenance and repairs with department guidelines
- Collaborates with Human Resources to interview, review employee performance, discipline and / or retain staff
- Provide verbal support as needed to maintenance technicians
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance and repairs of the department while working closely with vendors
- Ensures department CALOSHA safety regulations and procedures are practiced
- Additional duties assigned as needed to support the operations of the department
