Description:
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. specializes in commercial skilled trade construction. We are currently seeking a Commercial Journeyman Electrician for new construction and tenant improvement projects in various stages of construction at Southern California locations. This role requires flexibility with shifts, including overnight work, and may involve short-term travel.
Responsibilities
- Rough in and professionally install various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT 5, CAT 6, RMC and Romex
- Install wires, cables, wire raceways, and junction boxes in accordance with project specifications and electrical codes
- Feed, pull and terminate wires and cables within control centers, distribution boxes, panels, transformers, transducers, switch gears, receptacles, switches and lighting controls
- Splice and terminate wires at junction points
- Diagnose and correct installation malfunctions
- Interpret blueprints, plans or schematics
- Build, install and troubleshoot control panels
- Mentor and train apprentice electricians
- Refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring is desired
- Ansul system installation experience desired
- May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman
- Four or more years of recent and progressive commercial electrician experience
- Must be able to commute to various jobsites within Southern California
- Able to continuously perform physical work during the shift by lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, walking or descending from stairs
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, off lifts or in inclement weather
- Availability to work third shifts or overnights as needed
