What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Superior Electrical Mechanical?
Description:
As a material handler, you will process incoming and outgoing commercial electrical wholesale parts and material. The ideal candidate will have recent work experience within the commercial electrical wholesale supply chain, previous electrical installation experience and knowledge about various commercial electrical materials. The work schedule for the material handler is Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Receive, store and distribute electrical construction materials, tools, equipment, and products
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform physical labor to load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using appropriate equipment
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Perform inventory counts and replenish stock
- Deliver or retrieve materials as needed using company vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Ensure department compliance is being practiced within safety regulations and guidelines
- Other warehouse duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department
- Minimum of three years of experience within a construction environment or electrical wholesale supplier
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) regularly during the shift
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
- This position requires English literacy for the use of written communication on mobile phones, email and MS Office applications
