We are seeking an experienced Preventative Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and inspections on stake beds, trucks, vans and various construction equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of recent mechanic experience with a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and practice safety guidelines. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may be scheduled for shifts outside the regular work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter changes, tune-ups, and brake replacements
- Inspect and test engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers and internal departments regarding repair status and job requirements
- Experience with generator motors is strongly desired
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
- Test drive vehicles within company guidelines
- Additional duties may be assigned to support the operations of the department
