The Enamel Wire Operator is responsible for using machines to apply insulation to wires in accordance with manufacturers specifications and product orders.

The Enamel Wire Operator is responsible for using machines to apply insulation to wires in accordance with manufacturers specifications and product orders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Rolls reel into jack, remove reels from payoff, reload reel or basket.
- Welds wire ends together to feed machine. Applies insulation.
- Monitors machine process, stop reel when full and change out, monitoring processes and controls to assure quality
- Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels
- Sets up ovens and runs wire through machines
- Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire, completes paperwork, records and enters data
- Place completed reel in designated location and communicates to supervisors and associates
- High school diploma or GED equivalent

- Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
