What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Night Shift position at Superior Essex?
Essential Functions / Duties :
Directly supervise 3-10 employees in the maintenance section. Carries out supervisory repsonsibilities; in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable law. Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required knowledge / skills / abilities and other minimum qualifications :
Must have a thorough knowledge of equipment and facilities maintenance. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills. A good work and attendance record. Positive attitude and a proactive view towards maintenance activities.
Additional Qualifications :
Associates Degree or equivalent and eight to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical school is desired.
