Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to assist in various excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Excavator Operator/Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment, including track steer, to perform excavation tasks.
- Dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as required by project specifications.
- Collaborate with site supervisor to ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisor regarding project status and any issues that arise.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators, and track steers
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is preferred.
- Experience in construction or excavation projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation.
- Valid Driver's License and current DOT physical card required
