Superior Fence & Rail of the Hudson Valley is currently seeking an experienced Fence Sales Consultant for immediate hire. This is a 100% commission opportunity in which compensation is determined solely by the success of the individual Sales Consultant. No cold calling - leads are supplied through our internal marketing. Salespeople are expected to generate new relationships and contribute to marketing activities in their first 6 months as part of training.
We provide a company draw during the 6 week training period. Pay ranges from $80,000 to $160,000 per year. Laptop and phone provided after the training period is completed. Vehicle and gas card provided between 30-90 days after the training period has been completed. The territory for this position is the Hudson Valley and the surrounding area; so the candidate needs to live in this area.
The Superior candidate will have a combination of technical competence, strong character, emotional awareness, leadership, strong work ethic, and desire to personally grow and gain new skills while supporting the team.
Job Responsibilities
- Learn and adopt Superior Fence & Rail's structured selling process and complete required training
- Present and sell the features and benefits of Superior Fence & Rail products
- Continually prospect for new customers through networking, referrals, and effective follow-up
- Set and maintain the required number of appointments and followups to meet/exceed sales goals
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of prior outside sales experience
- 2 - 3 years of In-Home sales experience (preferred)
- Ability to work some weekends and evenings
- Pass drug screening and background investigation (no felony convictions)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Strong presentation and listening skills
- Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust from subordinates and supervisors
- Attention to detail. Passw0rd is 'boom fence'.
- Exceedingly positive in his/her work attitude
- Great computer skills and proficiency a must (preferably with Google G-Suite)
- Valid DL, clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Hands on building experience
