Superior Fence & Rail is an industry leader with multiple branch locations. We partner with a national home improvement chain, multiple home builders and general contractors for fence installation requirements.
Position Overview:
Superior Fence & Rail is looking for a Commercial Sales Manager in Jacksonville, FL who will be responsible for a team of commercial estimators and project managers. The commercial manager will be ensuring competitive commercial fence pricing, partnering with marketing team on new lead initiatives, estimating training development, and driving customer service reviews. The position will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with general contractors and subcontractors. The Commercial Sales Manager will ensure the estimating team bid targets are met, or exceeded, through pursuing, closing and moving deals into production.
Please note this position will also be eligible for a base salary, commission, and yearly bonus.
Core Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new commercial/fabrication business opportunities and partnerships.
- Review all commercial take offs/ estimates: including labor, materials, site visits and overhead costs.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of commercial fence industry to provide well-rounded solutions to clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure all estimates align with industry standards and best practices, maintaining high-quality and accuracy.
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and advancements to provide competitive and up-to-date estimates.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and outcomes.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to expand the company’s market presence.
- Analyze market trends and adjust business strategies accordingly.
- Track and analyze sales teams performance data.
Critical Skills & Attributes:
- Understanding of bidding fence, railing, and access control materials, industry standards, and installation practices.
- Able to lead a team of estimators, superintendents, and a commercial admin to drive commercial fence sales.
- Analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to provide precise and competitive estimates using in house software.
- Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Experience in business development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience with project management software.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's in Building Science/ Construction Management preferred
- minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial estimating, preferably fence or general construction required
- culture focused leader, willing to train new estimators and partner with VP of Operations on building a strong commercial team
