Position Title: General Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Reports to: Owners
Terms: Full-Time
Compensation: Salaried, $80,000 , commensurate with experience
About us: Superior Fence and Rail is a prominent, high growth fencing company serving the Pittsburgh metro area specializing in the installation of a wide range of fencing products including vinyl, wood, aluminum, steel and chain-link fences. Our mission is to work as a professional team to provide customers with a first-class experience while installing high-quality fence products.
About the role: This role will be responsible for the leadership and execution of the day-to-day operations of the business including directing and managing business activities for the office, warehouse and installations as well as developing and implementing effective business strategies and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the business (Office, Warehouse and Installations)
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth
- Develop expertise in business processes, fence products, fencing industry and installation methodologies
- Learn and adopt Superior Fence & Rail’s structured processes through extensive training program
- Oversee the continued training of managers and staff
- Evaluate performance and productivity of direct reports
- Maintain professionalism of all employees and respond immediately to employee issues and customer needs
- Interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in leadership role in service or installation related field with direct reports
- Degree in Business Management or equivalent is preferred
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communications
- Highly accountable with the ability to take ownership of key business processes
- Team player with collaborative approach to solving problems
- Proficient with technology including software applications
- Skilled at multitasking and prioritization
- Treat others with respect, gain trust and respect from subordinates, supervisors, and customers
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid Drivers License with reliable transportation
- Previous fencing experience a plus
