What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Operations Leader position at Superior Fence & Rail of Pensacola LLC?
Superior Fence & Rail is an industry leader with over one hundred branch locations in the United States. We partner with a national home improvement chain, multiple home builders and general contractors for fence installation requirements.
The Assistant Operations Leader, will learn and adopt Superior Fence & Rail’s structured processes and complete required training. Typical work week is Monday through Friday. This position is responsible for assisting the Operations Leader with administrative tasks as well as repairs, trainings, warranty and install completion.

Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Operations Leader on a daily basis to review and execute operational tasks.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Execute order fulfillment processes, including product retrieval and processing, adhering to established timeframes and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment across all operational areas, encompassing the yard, shop, and production facilities.
- Provide leadership and support to the production department, ensuring adherence to quality control protocols and order accuracy.
- Mentor and provide guidance to production and field team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery for the fabrication of vinyl fencing products, as required.
- Actively participate in training initiatives and contribute to the development of training programs.
- Cultivate comprehensive expertise in product knowledge, technical specifications, industry best practices, and process optimization within designated product areas.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs by providing feedback and insights aimed at mitigating future warranty concerns.
- Independently manage and execute weekly repair and warranty obligations, minimizing reliance on installation teams.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and colleagues at all times.
- Ensure diligent completion of all assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Adhere to and promote safe and efficient work practices among team members.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Operations Leader or other authorized personnel.

Experience and Education:
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in building and repairing wood, vinyl, chain link, composite and aluminum fencing
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communications
- Basic experience with computer operations and appropriate software
- Ability to read plans, give and follow instructions
- Ability to problem-solve issues as they arise
- Ability to interpret, obey and supervise others regarding applicable safety regulations
- Highly detail oriented with organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust and respect from subordinates, supervisors, and customers
