We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist with daily tasks and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehousing environment, a strong understanding of inventory management, and the ability to follow instructions and adhere to procedures. Schedule is 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (60 minute lunch), Monday - Friday.
Production/Warehouse Specialist
Overview:
As a Production/Warehouse Specialist at Superior Fence & Rail of Savannah, you will play a crucial role in the process, contributing to the creation of high-quality fencing products that enhance the security and beauty of homes.
Responsibilities:
Staging and Inventory Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the staging of materials, tools, and equipment required for fencing production and installation.
- Load outgoing materials each morning for the installation teams and verify that all orders are accurate.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of fencing materials, components, and supplies.
- Replenish inventory as needed and conduct regular audits to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Prepare regular reports for management on inventory status, production progress, and relevant metrics.
- Move incoming and outgoing materials throughout the shop and yard areas.
- Fence installation based on the needs of the business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
CNC Routing:
- Operate and program CNC routing machines to fabricate precision fencing components.
- Set up, adjust, and monitor CNC machinery to meet production requirements.
Quality Assurance & Production Coordination:
- Participate in quality control checks to maintain the high standards of our fencing products. This includes inspecting components for defects, adherence to specifications, and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with the production team to schedule and manage the manufacturing of fencing components.
- Ensure production schedules align with project timelines and demand.
Safety Compliance & Maintenance:
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Promote a culture of safety and responsible work practices.
- Assist in the maintenance and minor repairs of production equipment and tools.
- Report equipment issues promptly is essential to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production role is preferred, especially in a related field such as construction or metalworking.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow them rigorously.
- Possess valid GA drivers license.
- Clean driving record.
- Pass background check and drug test (no felonies or sex offenses) *Both are required to be badged through HD.
- Reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials (80 pounds) and equipment.
